The opening of the 11th Alaçatı Herb Festival, organized with the slogan "The Windy Story of Herbs" and the theme "labada", was made with a procession from Çamlık Road to Çeşme Municipality Alaçatı Service Building.
In the festival, many plants such as milk thistle, bitter herb, sorrel, hibiscus, chicory, sea bean, lazy sage, asparagus, rosemary herb were offered for sale as well as herbal dishes and handicrafts. Concerts, talks and cooking workshops will be held with the participation of famous names for 4 days within the scope of the festival, painting, handmade paper and sculpture exhibitions will be opened to visitors and various competitions were organized.
Within the scope of the 11th Alaçatı Herb Festival, the flower crown making event with Ayhan Sicimoğlu was held with the organization of Çesme Municipality and our association assistant Menekşe Apaydın.
The best herb dish competition and the most diverse herb collection competition, which are among the traditions of our Alaçatı Herb Festival, have concluded. In the best herb dish competition, the third place award went to Özlem Yorulmaz with Alabaş Puree Herb Meatballs, the second place award went to Pelin Ulaş with Karakılçık Risotto, and the first place award went to Şennaz Çevik with Labada Aşı. In the most diverse herb collection competition, where a variety of herbs were collected, Simay Çilek came third with 65 herbs, Hatice Erden came second with 113 herbs, and Durdu Mehmet Yanar came first with 120 herbs.
