Alaçatı Home Herb Festival

Once again, let's go to Alaçatı kitchen, let's go to Türkiye screens...

Last year, the Traditional Alaçatı Herb Fetival could not be celebrated due to the pandemic. As Alaçatı Tourism Association, we celebrated it as the “Herb Festival at Home” in order to protect our local values in a virtual environment last year. We decided to celebrate our event, which is like a festival with delicious recipes, as the “Herb Festival at Home” every year during the herb season.

And we want the festival to begin and the excitement to shake all of Turkey. Now, leave yourself to nature and the fertile lands of the Aegean because delicious smells are coming from the kitchens in Alaçatı: The Herb Festival is happening in Alaçatı Kitchens.
Everyone who lives in Alaçatı and the surrounding villages, who can hold a spoon in their hands, who is a lover of cooking, we invite all of Turkey to their kitchens online again during these difficult days. As a town with rich soil, air, water and neighborhood in Turkey, we are waiting for your participation in this beautiful event where we will continue to reflect the flavor culture of Alaçatı.

All Herb food preparation videos, photos, recipes and tips @evdeotsenligi And @alacatiturizmdernegiwill be shared with all of Türkiye from their accounts.

Alaçatı Tourism Association aims to bring the festival atmosphere to homes this year with the virtual 'Herb Festival at Home', which it held for the first time last year. Herb dishes cooked with recipes specific to the region, led by Alaçatı residents and chefs, are shared on social media with short videos. Stating that they aim to spread Aegean herbs and local recipes to all cuisines, Alaçatı Tourism Association President Celal Bayraktaroğlu said, “Since the herb festival could not be held during the pandemic, we, as Alaçatı residents, started with the members of our association and started implementing a nice idea. Naturally, many people are also associated with the festival. We want to encourage people outside to make local recipes. Thus, people share them on social media. We keep those nice recipes in people's minds when there is herb. We also want to create an inventory with the recipes. We continue in the same way this year.”
